Chevrolet Vehicles are Evolving
Chevrolet Vehicles have been setting the standard for quality made automobiles for decades. Chevrolet has a reputation for building quality cars and trucks that are easy to maintain, fun to drive, and a joy to own. The reputation of quality is one reason why Chevrolet has one of the highest resale values of all American made autos. Having owned a number of Chevrolet cars and trucks, I personally can attest to the superior value of Chevrolet automobiles. Chevrolet made huge strides in it's private work truck division when it introduced the Duramax Diesel engine in 2001. Chevrolet chose to mate the Duramax engine to an Allison transmission which made for a combination of power and reliability that many hard working truck owners desired. The Chevrolet Corvette has been the flagship sports car for the brand since the 1950's. Some popular muscle cars produced by Chevrolet include: the Camaro, the Chevelle, the Nova, and the Impala. The interchangeability of parts between similar model cars made Chevy the brand of choice for do-it-yourself hotrod builders. The Small Block V-8 that Chevy introduced in the mid-1950's became the basis for car engines in North America for decades to come.
While some might think of Chevrolet as being an American car company, in reality Chevrolet is a brand that is recognized worldwide. What started as a small company over a hundred years ago in Detroit Michigan has become a global leader with operations in over 100 countries around the world. Chevrolet has brought many innovations to automobiles over the years and continues to work at new designs and concepts in order to keep the brand at the forefront of automotive technology. Electric cars may be the design of the future and Chevrolet has been working at making an electric car that is both reliable and economical. The Volt is a unique vehicle because it really is an electric car in the true sense of the word. While it does come with a gas generator to extend it's range, the gas generator is simply used to charge the batteries which power the Volt. Time will tell what changes will be in store for the Automobile industry in the future, but you can rest assured that Chevrolet will be at the forefront in quality and design when the changes come.
