Powerful, Customizable, Inexpensive The Chevrolet Silverado is a popular type of full-size pickup truck made by GMC. They are meant for heavy duty work as they are a full-size truck. These trucks can be easily customized depending on the specific model of Silverado you choose. These trucks are usually either rear-wheel or four wheel drive. A buyer has the option of getting a regular or extended cab, extended cabs having the option of 3 or 4 doors. The Chevrolet Silverado is essentially the same as the Sierra, which is considered the luxury version. However, today the Silverado is advertised as the standard model, and is less expensive. The Silverado is also an excellent choice for people who wish to add a lot of customization to their vehicle – cab size, three different bed lengths (short, standard, and extended) and options for trim and the panels in the dashboard. There are also the options of getting a 6 speed automatic or a 4 speed manual transmission. There is even a HD (heavy duty) option for people wanting even more power. Most variations of the Silverado get an average of 15 city/ 20 highway miles per gallon. Depending on size and customization of the vehicle, the Silverado will cost the buyer between $22,000 and $40,000 – a great price for a powerful truck.

Chevrolet Concept Cars

This week, in honor of the new year we will look to the future of Chevolet. Looking at the images of where Chevrolet concept cars have come and are going seems like something from the Jetson's time frame. Chevrolet is always testing new concepts to hear the people views and opinions. Testing the limits and thinking out of the box car and to the future is how Cheverolet works. The cars which are many that only made it on the runway were funny, out of this world, and to much or too little of something. Looking at these rejected cars there are straight lines full of 80's and 90's. The Chevrolet "junior" corvette was a less expensive car giving hope to the middle class man to feel like a millionaire. Luckily this car didn't make it past the clay-model stage.

Currently Chevrolet has been working on a line of Camaros. They are sleek and sexy, and any man  or woman dream about driving. Often these cars don't hit the assembly line but they hit the runway. Many of these future cars will have rear wheel technology. The future cars are sexy with wonderful greens, blues and oranges colors what make you want to put on the new suit and look great next to your new car.

Who would have thought the importance of car concepts to understand that Chevrolet want to know how the customer will respond our opinion. If the consumers don't like it then they won't buy them. Although they are unique and bring dreams to life. If those dreams are ones I do no dream about.

Concepts - The Kappa Chevrolet Stingray

There are many rumors floating around the internet about a Chevrolet Concept car know as the Stingray, to capitalize on a well known moniker. This vehicle is expected to be built off of the same concepts as the Kappa sports car but cost less than the Corvette. it is expected to enter to market around 250 horsepower. Concept cars are often used by peak interest in new lines. Concept cars also offer a chance to test out an edgy style or collection of features from several different cars placed together in new packaging, as it appears the Stingray may be.

2012 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe 2LT

This car has been in the conceptualization stage for many years, but is believed to be closer to production as low cost sports cars are seeing a revival as the economy improves. The base model is expected to have a V6 and deliver enough power to compete with the Ford Mustang and lower end BMW models. The Stingray would be built with sheet metal from the Pontiac line, giving it more of a sports car association. The line may offer a souped up version that would be priced about many of the luxury cars but offers better performance and luxury detailing. The Kappa Chevrolet Stingray would be a vehicle that follows in the edgy styling of the Dodge Viper but be priced  for a middle class family to consider.
